Vines planted in Chablis are especially susceptible to frost damage - in 1945 not a single bottle of Chablis was produced due to severe frost.

The Grossots take great pride in their Chablis AOC, which comes from very well-placed sloping vineyards in the communes of Fleys, Chichée and Fontenay.
