The estate was purchased in 1975 by Maggiore (Rino) Sottimano and has been enlarged during the last years with the addition of Currà, Fausoni, and San Cristoforo vineyards all located in the best areas within the Barbaresco appellation. Rino takes care of the property personally with the help of his oenologist son Andrea. The estate was one of the first where the program for "integrated pest control" was implemented, in order to reduce treatments to a minimum for environment protection.
