Built on an ancient monastery, of which the cellars are still in use, the "Fattoria" belonged to the Ricasoli family of the neighbouring Castello di Brolio until 1956. The property was then inherited by the present owner, Martini di Cigala. The vineyards all have an excellent position with a south-west exposure and also produce very good olive oil.
