Evening Land Vineyards presents estate grown pinot noir from monopole vineyards in three acclaimed terroirs: The Sonoma Coast: Santa Rita Hills and the Eola Hills of the Willamette Valley. After acquiring the storied Occidental Vineyard in 2005, Evening Land added The Seven Springs Vineyard in Oregon with the 2007 harvest.

Oregon’s historic Seven Springs Vineyard has provided the fruit for many of the Willamette Valley ’s benchmark Pinot Noirs.  Planted in the mid 1980s on a gentle eastern slope in the Eola Hills, the vineyard spans 65 acres.    Volcanic Jory soils are grounded with iron and basalt as the mother rock. The vineyard elevation ranges from 350 to 650 feet and is on the protected leeward side of the cooling winds in the Van Duser Corridor.  The 3 acre Gamay Noir block was an original planting in 1984 on own rooted vines.   Consistent with the era, the density is relatively low, with 453 vines per acre.  They prune with cordon to restrain yields.
