As some of you wine geeks may have heard, the grape known as Tocai Friulano has had a name change and is now called Friulano Bianco.
The European Union was worried that people were getting the Italian Tocai confused with the Hungarian Tokaji and the Alsatian Tokay, which are not the same grape. So the hard working vintners of
The Friulano Bianco comes from old vines in Prepotto. The vinification is done without any small barrels; just a little time in the larger, older barrels so you can taste the Friulano Bianco in all it’s glory.
