A dark cherry colour, with violet edges, very clean and transparent. On the nose, it has sweet notes of ripe, dark fruits, plums, blackberries and cherries; touches of mineral that come from the "llicorella" (Priorat Slate). The mouth-feel is enveloping, complex, highly structured, long and persistent with notes of spices and cocoa.
Each variety is vinified separately. Aged for 14 months in new French oak from Limousin, Allier, and Nevers, fined with egg whites and bottled unfiltered.

Wine Advocate The purple-colored 2004 Clos de l’Obac exhibits a beautiful perfume of spice box, mineral, kirsch, red and black currants, and black cherry. Intensely fruity on the palate, it is already complex, sweet, and layered. The oak, tannin, and acidity are nicely integrated and the finish is long and pure. Give this stylish wine 3-5 years of cellaring and drink it through 2022.
