This is the 13th year Sean Capiaux has released a Widdoes Vineyard designated Pinot Noir. The Dutton Ranch’s™ Widdoes vineyard is located between the towns of Graton and Occidental in the Russian River Valley appellation. The cool temperate growing conditions allow the grapes from this 18 year-old, vertical trained, dry farmed vineyard to ripen slowly and evenly. At this vineyard the Beringer clone Pinot Noir is planted which consistently produces a wine of finesse and balance.

"Another beauty, the 2009 Pinot Noir Widdoes Vineyard includes about 10% stems and was aged in 40% new French oak. It exhibits beautiful sweet strawberry, red and black currant fruit as well as notions of earth, underbrush and subtle oak. Round, generous, full-bodied, luscious and silky textured, this 2009 is already irresistible and should last for 4-5 years."
