The key to this vintage was to spend additional money in the vineyard to balance out what would otherwise have been a high-yielding fruit load. This was a perfect vintage to saignée (juice bleed) because of the abnormally larger berry sizes.
Aromas of blueberry, orange spice, black olive and classic blue flowers emerge after a few minutes. Rich full bodied flavors of dark fruit that are clean and pure. The wine finishes with ripe tannins and strong acidity that carry the fruit and linger in the mouth for minutes. Give this wine some time to open up and if cellaring is an option, it should only improve over the next 5-8 years.

The 2007 Syrah Verna’s Vineyard exhibits a dense black/purple color as well as notes of graphite, charred herbs, black raspberries, blueberries, new saddle leather, and earth. Ripe, full-bodied, rich, beautifully textured, and pure.
