Molasses, spice, chocolate and pure raisins define this as classic P.X. It’s syrupy but not too much so, with maple, cinnamon and brown sugar flavors. For a sweet and candied dessert wine, it has excellent balance and persistence. A star among many in this category; these wines are hard not to like.

The decadently sweet, single vintage 2004 Pedro Ximenez de Anada reveals off-the-chart honeyed richness along with hints of caramel and marmalade. This dark amber-colored wine possesses plenty of fresh fruit characteristics. It is best served as dessert. Importer Jorge Ordonez has begun to offer single vintage finos, aged two years in traditional American oak botas (500 liters), so consumers have an opportunity to understand how zesty a fino can be.
