The vineyards are located in Berlangas de Roa, La Horra (Burgos) at an altitude of 2,300ft (700m). The vineyards are a combination of trained and vaso vines with no irrigation. The soils are stony and sandy and poor in organic material.
Dark ruby-colored, it offers toasty blackberry aromas and flavors. Medium bodied, with a supple palate-feel, the wine is full-flavored, fleshy, and easy-to-drink. Its finish is long and pure.
The grapes were hand-harvested, and then brought to triage tables at the winery. They were fermented in stainless-steel and cement vats. The must was macerated for 15 days. The wine underwent malolactic fermentation in stainless-steel vats, and aged in French oak barrels for 4 months.
