This Champagne is 45% Meunier, 20% Pinot Noir, 35% Chardonnay and is a blend of 70% 2003 vintage with reserve wines from the 2002 and 2001 vintages. The Chardonnay is planted in pure chalk in Aÿ, the Meunier in chalk covered with clay in Dizy, and the Pinot Noir in Mareuil-sur-Aÿ. The average age of the vines is 25 years and the dosage is 8.8 grams. It is silken and fine, full of oleander, pumpernickel and mimosa, and the palate has exceptional grace and detail.

Pale straw. Intensely floral nose offers a vibrant array of fresh orchard and pit fruit aromas and a slow-building spicy character. Round and pliant, with vivid pear and white peach flavors, gentle acid lift and a brisk, clean finish. Really clings to the palate and possesses the depth and heft to stand up to rich seafood dishes. -
